We brought together a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers and artists to participate in a collective design workshop to create a vision for a new rural way of life. Through analysis of the culture and aesthetics of Russian village and dacha life, we propose a future development scenario, taking into account current trends in digital farming, new artistic and craft movements, and a post-labour, de-urbanising future.
Below we set out a spacial and programmatic proposal for how people can live and prosper in the contemporary and future rural condition, in Russia and beyond.
